Great diner. Those bad stars are misplaced. It is a real nice shiny silver diner, with people that actually welcome the guests. The food (see pics) was made fast and served hot at the counter! Fluffy pancakes were plenty fat and tasty wraps, too. Fantastic all round diner food in a clean spot! Good for bar hopping: it includes a full service booze and liquor rack. Review: 5+

Visiting the area while my mom is in rehab. On the way home I remember this diner from when I used to live here. Decided to give it a try. Ordered a chicken salad sandwich with bacon on rye. Asked for lettuce tomato on the side and coleslaw. It honestly came out pretty quickly and brought it home and it was delicious! Huge serving and I think I'll have lunch for tomorrow. The coleslaw was nice and milky and had a little sweetness to it which I wasn't sure I would like but I loved it! It went great with my black raspberry milkshake I got it Stewart's. Haha. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and it even looks like they have a full bar if you feel like a cocktail.

Food is fantastic. Service was excellent Ambiance was local diner diner hum. Don't miss this one!

Visited on a Sunday and the Halfmoon Diner was jammed. Seeing in upwards of 40 people waiting for tables evoked fond memories of my childhood. Thankfully, there were open counter seats. Guy at the front of the house was brusque--at best--but I can't imagine how to manage a crowd like this in 2023 without everyone despising you. Waitress was nice. Service was lightning fast and I was in and out in 20 minutes or less. The menu has good variety and the food, though giving the impression of being slammed together, was pretty good.
